PEDICURE DURING PREGNANCY
Can You Get a Pedicure While Pregnant?
For most people, routine nail care can remain part of their normal self-care during pregnancy. Current evidence has not identified an increased pregnancy risk from the small exposures associated with routine nail treatments.
Cleanliness, good ventilation and properly handled tools still matter, just as they do for every pedicure.
Every pregnancy is different. If your healthcare provider has advised you to avoid certain services, or you have a pregnancy-related concern you would like cleared first, speak with them before booking.

WATERLESS PEDICURE
No Shared Soaking Tub.
Refined Pedicure uses a waterless approach, so your appointment does not begin with a traditional shared foot bath.
Instead, the service moves directly into cleansing, grooming and professional foot and nail care.
Waterless does not need exaggerated health claims to be meaningful. It keeps the process simple and lets the appointment focus on the details that matter.
CLEANLINESS
The Details You May Not See Still Matter.
Fresh single-use items are prepared for each client, and reusable instruments follow the studio's cleaning and reprocessing procedures between appointments.
Fresh linens and a prepared treatment space are part of the process too.
If something on the skin or nail appears to need medical attention, we will not try to diagnose or treat it as part of a pedicure. We may recommend that you speak with an appropriate healthcare professional instead.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Comfort Can Change. Your Appointment Can Too.
There is no single perfect position during pregnancy. Some days you may want more support behind your back. Other days you may want the footrest adjusted or a little extra time to change position.
We'll check in without hovering, keep the pace relaxed and make reasonable adjustments as your appointment unfolds.
Supported seating
Adjustable positioning
A relaxed, unhurried pace
Gentle foot and nail care
Polish or natural finish
GOOD TO KNOW
When It's Better to Check First.
Refined Pedicure is an esthetic pedicure service, not medical care.
If you have an open wound, a possible skin or nail infection, significant pain, or a pregnancy-related concern that you think may need medical attention, please speak with an appropriate healthcare professional before your appointment.
If your healthcare provider has given you specific restrictions during pregnancy, those instructions always come first.

YOUR QUESTIONS
Good to Know.
A few helpful answers before your Pregnancy Pedicure.
Is it safe to get a pedicure while pregnant?
Routine manicures and pedicures are generally considered compatible with pregnancy based on current evidence. Cleanliness, good ventilation and properly handled tools remain important. If you have a high-risk pregnancy, have been given restrictions, or have any specific concern, check with your healthcare provider before booking.
Can I book a Pregnancy Pedicure in my first trimester?
There is no general rule requiring you to wait until the second trimester for routine nail care. If you are feeling well and have not been advised otherwise by your healthcare provider, you can book when it feels right for you. If scents or nausea are bothering you, let us know so we can keep your comfort in mind.
What makes the Pregnancy Pedicure different from a regular pedicure?
The professional foot and nail care is familiar, but the experience is designed with pregnancy comfort in mind. Seating, cushions, positioning and pace can be adjusted, and the appointment allows time to shift or pause when needed.
How long is the Pregnancy Pedicure?
The Pregnancy Pedicure is approximately 60 minutes. We keep the pace comfortable so the appointment does not feel rushed.
Can I book without polish?
Absolutely. You can finish with polish or choose a clean, buffed natural nail instead.
Does the Pregnancy Pedicure include a foot massage?
Yes. The service includes a gentle foot massage as part of the pedicure. Tell your esthetician what feels comfortable for you. This is an esthetic pedicure service and is not prenatal massage therapy.
Do I need to remove gel polish before my appointment?
Yes. Please arrive with clear nails. We are no longer offering gel polish removal services in clinic, so gel polish should be removed before your appointment.
What if my feet are very swollen or painful?
The Pregnancy Pedicure is designed for grooming, comfort and relaxation. It does not diagnose or treat swelling, pain or circulation concerns. If you have new, significant or concerning symptoms, speak with your healthcare provider before booking.
What if I have a nail or skin concern?
If something appears to need medical assessment or treatment, we may recommend that you speak with an appropriate healthcare professional before proceeding.
